The Bae Adventures

The Bay Area
May 7th, 2016

Guys, get ready for a photo overload. I finally went on a roadtrip with Gene & Slava, who are basically the male equivalents of Oxie and myself (except they take better photos ’cause they are real photographers with fancy cameras and actual experience). Well, if I’m being totally honest, I kind of just tagged along to their plans because I had nothing better to do. But all’s well that ends well, because in my humble opinion, it was a chill day spent location hopping and just hanging out. (My favorite kind of days!)

First things first (I’m the realest. Jk, ignore that Iggy reference), the four of us headed to someplace near Halfmoon Bay. Because I wasn’t the one calling the shots/choosing locations, I don’t exactly know where we went. Basically, it was a beach with a golf course and a Ritz Carlton Hotel near it and it was pretty and that’s all that matters. Also I think it is important to mention that if some of the photos look significantly better than my usual ones, that’s because they are Gene’s. Thanks Gene!

We basically just followed each other around taking photos of each other, hence the visual overload.

Slava also brought his drone which we named Dobby because he is just so darn cute. Real talk though, I want one. The videos it takes are ah-mazing, and just yeah. It’s cool.

After hanging out at this beach, it was time to move onto our next location. But before we left, Gene got Noel Alva inspired photos of Oxie and myself. We are #bestfriendgoals.

Next stop: Pescadero State Beach, an unplanned stop when we couldn’t find Gene & Slava’s secret cave. It was super windy, but we stuck around to get a few pictures with the waves crashing in the background. Or at least we tried to capture the waves in the background.

The last place the guys took us to was Mount Davidson Park. After a short trail, you get to a hill that offers straight up gorgeous views of San Francisco.

After a little while, the fog started to come in and we snatched the opportunity to take awesome fog-forest-green photos.

And that basically sums up our adventure in the Bay Area. ‘Twas a good day, awesome photos were taken, and I was introduced to gorgeous locations. Thanks Gene & Slava for the excursion, y’all are cool. ‘Till next time.

xoxo Ollie ❤

  1. Amazing photos! I need people in my life like this. My photos are always over edited I-phone snaps. Oops!

    • Haha that reminds me of a post someone made on tumblr. They said “I need more friends who’ll take cool aesthetic photos of me while I pretend I’m not looking.” But honestly, yeah, I used to take all my photos on my iPhone (which can sometimes be super awesome) but I love being able to use my camera for my blogging photos!

      • Haha hilarious. So true. Carrying around the I phone is so easy and manageable. I do have a little power shot canon but it’s not often j shoot with it. These beautiful photos make me want to take the time to take a good shots for my blog. It really makes the difference!
